Dr. Andrew Godwin is a Bariatric Surgery Specialist, board-certified in General Surgery.  Dr. Godwin joined Long Island Obesity Surgery in 2018, after finishing his residency training at New York’s largest healthcare system, Northwell Health, followed by a fellowship in Bariatric, Minimally Invasive and Advanced GI procedures at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

As a member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), he remains ahead of the curve on all aspects of General and Bariatric surgery.  Dr. Godwin is also trained and certified on the da Vinci surgical system, enabling him to perform complex procedures using a minimally invasive approach.  This innovative technology allows for a more precise surgery with less complications and reduced recovery time.
