I was a little bit scared but pretty much knew all I was getting myself into.  Pretty much was anixous to get it all over with then to wait in the waiting room lol.  But now that its over with and the hard days are gone I feel like a totally new person.  I weighed close to 400 a month ago.  Im now at 358 so all the worrying and all ive been threw it was well worth it and would do it again in a heart beat!

What about before and after the surgery... did you have to do a swallow  so they could check to see if your sleeve was leaking?? I cant drink that stuff Undecided  Have you had any complications thus far? and what has been the biggest change that you have had to make pre op to post op? Sorry for all the questions I'm just curious over here. I'll be attending the next information session on Sept 11 and the support meeting to get some questions answered Smiley

Hello cmilla I have no post opt problems at all I feel like I didnt even have the surgery I really hope this is a boost of confidence.  For me the first 2 days after surgery I felt horrible but I have to tell you for how i feel now id do it over again in a heart beat.  I have lost over 50 lbs since July 25th of this year.  Keep in mind everybody is different you might not have much pain after the surgery.  I wish you the best of luck cmilla if you have any questions please just ask you can always email me at goodie2shoes_11729@yahoo.com

2 weeks prior to surgery youll be on a liquid diet.  Dr.Buchin recommends Isopure its a protein drink and you can put 2% milk in it to mix it up and take that I find that it filled me up pretty good and kept me satisfied.  Clear fuilds like water/jello/broth soups.  Pretty much all you can have 2 wks before and 2 wks after surgery then youll be able to have some soft foods and gradually work from there.
