I am curious if the insurance companies  sometimes  don't approve the surgery because the costs of the pre-op tests are so high. All these tests are making me nervous to begin with but when I see the bills I am really worried my insurance carrier is going to flag my acount and refuse the surgery because I have maxed out or something.  Do they do this? Anybody have any thoughts or information on this?

I hope everyone is doing well!

There is only one insurance company that i know of that puts a cap on the bariatric workup and procedure...  But its a pretty high cap so its unusual for them not to cover the preop workup.
