As I write this, the holidays continue to surround us, with another New Year right around the corner. For the people that have crossed over and are post-op, it is a time to be proud of our accomplishments, which we have achieved over the past year. We decided to take our lives back from the evils of obesity, as we strive for a better life.
This past year, I have been through so much, and I believe each experience has been very unique. I have enjoyed and experienced things that I never experienced my whole life, nor I had ever imagined I’d be fortunate to experience. Since having lost 100+ pounds, every single step for me has been a new learning experience. People’s attitudes have changed around me a lot (some for the better, and quite a few the opposite, which totally got me by surprise) and at the same time I feel like I no longer know the person I have been staring in the mirror for the past 30 years.
I have a lot to be thankful for this past year, especially for Dr. B and Sophia helping me to create and give me a life I never imagined, I’d get to experience… Anyways, I’d like to wish everyone Happy Holidays…! And remind ourselves not to overindulge over the next few days that may hurt our accomplishments and the goals we have set out to achieve….
…Happy Holidays…
