Hello All! Susan here! I'm new.
In the past year I had attend 4-6 support group meetings run by Sophia and 3-4 info seminars run by Dr Buchin. I had been collecting info and getting the feel of a bunch of different Bariatric Doc.s on Long Island over the past 3-4 years. I found Dr Buchin & Sophia to be the BEST out of all of them!
So, I had my first consult with Dr. Buchin today. I went in thinking I wanted the Lap Band, but left SERIOUSLY thinking about the Gastric Sleeve. Lots to think about! :
Plus, Dr. Buchin & Sophia let me know that my insurance is one of the only one's that will cover the Gastric Sleeve. AND that I won't have to go thru the 3-6 month pre-op diet that some of the insurance companies make you go thru! Once I get the recommendation letter from my GP, get the pre-op tests done - I'm good the go! I could be having my surgery within the next 2 months! WOW!
So, I'm excited, scared, nervous, hopeful and a bunch of other emotions I can't put words to at the moment! Wish me luck! And I will keep you posted! Take care All! Susan
