i had the bypass on October 29th, and for the last week my head feels like it is going to burst.

To rule out the simple stuff ....
Make sure you are getting in most if not all your daily requirements of liquids and protein.
Make sure the 'pipes' are clear. Constipation is known to cause headaches.
If all that is in place then its doesn't hurt to go see your primary doctor. It could be non related to your surgery.
