Hello Everyone...
For this month's support group please:

  1. Take a list or paragraph of what you have accomplished and your goals or what you are looking forward to for the new year.
This list could also include things you would like to give up or stop for the new year.
We are able to accomplish our goals with more success when make them visible i.e. writing them out or saying them out loud.

  2. Would anyone like to volunteer to make the Almond Macaroons listed in the Recipe board?
Please let me know if you can. Its a really quick recipe.

  3. We will be sampling Protein drinks (not shakes) but they will be available.

See You Soon
Sophia

Hi Everyone,
Despite the awful weather quite a few of you still made it out. thanks for your effort.

RECAP: This month's support group was very informal due to the bad weather. we welcomed new members and had a sample party while everyone mingled. We sampled , vitamins, protein drinks, whey protein, liquid calcium and liquid fibre...yummy Cheesy.
The highlight of the sample was the Almond Macaroons from our Recipe list. It was quite tasty for WLS recipe with such few calories.
Our post op patients answered questions from the newbies and friends got a chance to catch up.
However, No one remembered their project / homework from last time Angry.

If anyone is interested in samples that were handed out at the support group, please feel free to ask for it in the office.

If you tried any of the samples please give us feedback on the taste and if it was or will be helpful to you.

I look forward to seeing you all next meeting

Sorry I couldn't make it, Sophia.  I had my project/homework all typed up and in my pocketbook, but the weather kept me home.  I'll leave it in my bag andl bring it to next month's meeting.  See you then!
